The splitter test is executed as a 'system test' where the line simulator should reproduce all characteristics of a copper pair for passing analogue signals, ring-current, DC-voltage while keeping up with ADSL and VDSL signals. The LCSV 35 is working up to 35 MHz and reproduce in a natural way all parameters of a copper pair in order to test splitters on their quality to separate voice from DSL signals without disturbing the DSL channel nor to couple any other disturber.
